Clinton County EMA is giving one local household a practical head start toward reaching the 3-Day Baseline level of preparedness. This means being able to protect your household from immediate danger and meet basic health and safety needs for at least three days when electricity, water, communications, transportation, medical services, or other normal services are disrupted.

The emergency kit includes supplies that can help a household begin building or strengthen that capability. However, preparedness is more than owning equipment. Every household should consider its own needs, including safe water, food, emergency lighting, medications, pets, warning methods, transportation, and what to do if the first plan fails.
