About the Event

EMA is looking for four - ten (10) adults to serve as role players for an active aggressor exercise at the Wilmington Air Park.  Location information will be provided prior to the event to volunteers.

Volunteers will play "victims" and interact with first responders to provide input for exercise play.  Volunteers should:

  • Be on time (12 Noon for safety brief).
  • Dress for the weather (vast majority of play will be indoors and volunteers will be swapped out with dummies for evacuation, triage, and ambulace loading).
  • Range of movement to allow for posing/positioning in a scene for up to 60 minutes (consider brining a pillow if you have hip, side, or shoulder issues).
  • Wear a black t-shirt under your clothing (this will similate skin for medics conducting an assessment).
  • IF...you have clothing you can ware than can be cut away (like an ugly Christmas sweater), please let exercise staff know at check-in for more instructions (no wet mulage will be used).

Business casual-like dress is requested, but should reflect weather conditions.

NOTE:  It is important to note that this exercise will have first responders (law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS) responding to a simulated incident in an office setting.  Role players will be acting out roles to help facilitate the training opportunity.  For this reason, we are seeking OVER ACTORS to help provide the audio and visual noise, as well as other actions.  We are seeking mature members who are able to follow instructions, and implement safety measures as directed.  No life firearms will be used.
