Details:

• SLIGHT risk for severe weather (rating 2 out of 5 [highest]) for strong storms.

• There may be multiple rounds of storms overnight (north of the Ohio River).

• Timing is estimated for the NWS ILN forecast area of 2 pm to 7 pm.

• Primary hazards are straight-line winds, which could create to tree debris and impact power distribution. Brief heavy rain may lead to localized flooding in prone areas.

Hazardous Weather Outlook for Today: Heat index values in the upper 90s to near 100 will be possible today. An isolated strong to severe storm cannot be ruled out.
