SR-350 Update No. 3

Your next update from your SR-350 Project Team:

Dear Residents and Motorists,

We would like to provide an update regarding the ongoing work on State Route 350. As part of this project, a Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) test section was recently completed to evaluate roadway performance and determine the best approach moving forward.

The completed test section covered approximately 230 feet, which was shorter than originally anticipated. At this time, the tested portion of the roadway has been evaluated and is considered suitable for light vehicle traffic with low traffic volumes. While the section remains open for residential use, we strongly encourage all motorists to exercise caution when traveling through the area. Reduced speeds and extra attention are advised, as the roadway surface may differ from surrounding sections and construction activities may continue nearby.

Additionally, we would like to address an important safety concern. There have been recent incidents of vandalism involving construction signs and traffic control devices within the project limits. These signs are placed for the safety of the traveling public, residents, and construction crews. Tampering with, moving, or damaging these devices creates serious hazards and can lead to unsafe driving conditions. We respectfully ask all community members to help us maintain a safe work zone by leaving all traffic control signage and devices in place and reporting any suspicious activity.

The purpose of this test was to assess the effectiveness of the reclamation process and gather valuable information that will help guide the next phases of the SR 350 improvement project. Our team will continue to monitor the section closely to ensure it performs as expected.

We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work to improve the roadway for the community. Safety remains our highest priority, and your partnership is essential in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Rylee Ankeney
