Clinton County EMA Launches 3rd Annual Emergency Kit Giveaway

The Clinton County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is excited to announce the return of its Emergency Kit Giveaway, now in its third year. Clinton County residents are invited to sign up for a chance to win a fully stocked emergency preparedness kit by visiting https://www.cc-ema.org/emergency-kit.

The emergency kit includes essential supplies donated by generous community partners such as Walmart, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, and others. These items are designed to help households respond to and recover from emergencies such as power outages, severe storms, or other local hazards.

“Having a basic emergency kit on hand isn’t just a recommendation—it’s a necessity,”

said Director Thomas Breckel of Clinton County EMA. “Disasters don’t wait for you to be ready. A well-prepared household can weather a storm, power outage, or other crisis far more safely. This giveaway is about starting those conversations and helping our residents take one more step toward resilience.”

This year’s drawing will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 and will feature a unique twist. A random AI-powered selection tool will pick one lucky entry, and that person will receive a phone call live during a Facebook stream. To claim the prize, they must answer the phone by saying: “I’m getting Ready with Clinton County EMA!” If the phrase isn’t said right away, the opportunity passes to the next entry. 😲

Residents must submit their entry no later than Friday, July 11, 2025 to be eligible. One
